Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Information Session
Be PAID to live in Japan for a year?? Apply for the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program! Managed by the government of Japan, the JET Program is a competitive employment opportunity that allows young professionals to live and work in cities, towns, and villages throughout Japan. Being a JET is an opportunity to work and to represent the United States as a cultural ambassador to Japan. Most participants serve as Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs) and work in public and private schools throughout Japan; some work as Coordinators for International Relations (CIRs) as interpreters/translators.
Sewanee alum, Aaron Browning, C'14 was chosen as a JET participant after graduation. Join us on Tuesday, September 25 at 7:00 p.m. in Gailor 103 to hear about his experience and gain information and tips on applying for the program. All class years are welcome to attend.
