Information For Faculty & Advisors
Anthropology to art history. Psychology to business. Our own undergraduate studies covered a variety of subjects, and our staff members value the role that a liberal arts education has had in each of our lives. We celebrate and respect your role in students' career exploration and decision-making process, and we hope to partner with you on behalf of Sewanee students.
You help students when you:
- spend time with them as they explore career ideas
- offer to connect them with your former majors or team members who are working in an area they would like to explore
- advise them on appropriate graduate programs
- inform our office of research programs, internship or job listings sent directly to you
- recommend that they get engaged with our office
- write strong letters of recommendation for graduate school or jobs
We help students:
- discover their strengths
- explore potential majors
- explore careers and pursue specific internships and jobs
- learn career and leadership skills through workshops, individual appointments and other opportunities
- gain real-world job experience through our strong internship program
- connect with the extensive Sewanee network of alumni and parents
- discover the tools needed to apply to graduate or professional school
