Develop a Network
Networking is relationship-building that provides value to both individuals. It is not a one-way relationship that serves only one party.
Whether you realize it or not, you already have a network in place! Those in your network are friends, professors, parents' friends and friends' parents, neighbors, current and former supervisors and colleagues, and fellow Sewanee alumni.
Many opportunities to meet and network with alumni exist each year. Plan to attend the annual Student-Alumni Networking Luncheon each Friday of Homecoming, Beyond the Gates in January, talks by alumni and others in your field of interest and other networking events that Career & Leadership Development advertises throughout the year.
