When Sewanee students graduate, they head in many directions and pursue a wide variety of first jobs. Many head straight to graduate or professional school. Some do both at once. Our office surveys them starting in April prior to their graduation and collects data through December. By the time December arrives, 97 percent of them are employed, participating in fellowships or service, or enrolled in graduate or professional school.
Their first destinations are found below and include information from the classes of 2010 through 2017. If a student had two majors or even three, their information is listed under each major. (After all, each department claims them!)
Please note: This list may be downloaded and sorted. (It was sorted by major and placed on Google Drive.) Not every graduate of these five classes has responded, but there was a 97.6 percent (average) response rate by December following graduation for the classes of 2013 through 2017.
For specific data on gradautes from 2017, please view the Class of 2017 First Destinations report.
